Two weeks ago, I think, Jillian posted about a charity event she was planning, and then invited me to help her, to co-host it, too. How could I say no to her and to such a generous event like this? So today we're introducing you all what we're intending to do, providing some information about.

What:

Help A Charity is a fundraiser event where we will all try to come up with monetary donation to give to two specific charities. Those who donate will automatically be entered into the huge giveaway!

Perfect Summer Book: SOS!

Reading on the beach, listening to waves crash. Ahh... oh how I wish I was there right now. It's neck and neck to curling up by a fire in the winters with a good book. And actually, if I had to choose which one I preferred, I don't think I could. Good thing nature is choosing for me! It's 95 degrees in Virginia and a trip to the beach is right around the corner! Yes, yes, and yes!!

But now I have a dilemma of what books to take. It's getting harder and harder to choose, because I have kids and those quiet hours on the beach, listening to waves crashing are getting replaced by, "Mommy look at me. Mommy, come swim. Mommy, watch this:D!"

That means lots of interruptions, but I do still get time to read! I just can't pick ones where I know they'll be page turners or highly intense, because it's not fun to read a little here or there when you have to stop, and the whole time, you're itching to find out what happens back on those pages. It can make a vacation more stressful LOL!

So for me, right now, the perfect beach read is a love story, but not a suspenseful one. One where the characters have great chemistry, they have an obstacle to climb that's not sad, and one that I can walk away from and pick back up feeling just as content as when I left off. Those are hard to find, but when you do....it's peerrrffecttt! Right?

Contest: Whisper by Phoebe Kitanidis [CLOSED]

Yes, it took a while for me to finally post this. It's been such an amazing honor for me to host this contest right here at my blog because I've been so happy while recommending it for everybody, everywhere, anytime! Whisper is not only an adorable, original book, but it is also by one of the nicest authors I have ever talked to. And it means so much to me, since I am from far away from the North America and Europe, continents where most people might speak English fluently and have bigger opportunities to meet their favorite authors. :)

I must have said once that since I first saw the cover of Whisper and read its synopsis, months before the release date, I had been so wanting to receive a copy to read. That's when I, after a while, took courage to send Phoebe Kitanidis a request. I was sincerely afraid of hearing a big NO, because I know it's not so cool to email authors... Some might get bothered. But then she, like always have been, was very nice to me and fowarded the request to another person who could send me. I kept waiting for being contacted and a week after that I had a review copy in my hands. Happy dances all day!

Whisper came out on April 27th, 2010 by Balzer + Bray, an imprint of HaperCollins Publishers. By the love I have for this book, I would also love you if you read and commented on my INTERVIEW with Phoebe and on my REVIEW of Whisper to get extra entries.

Hello! I have already said I've hit 50 followers, haven't I? Now it's actually 54! I felt super-thankful and happy about it AND wanted to make something to give you in return. I received an awesome THE BODY FINDER swag package from Kimberly Derting and I'll give some of them away. I was going to say that I couldn't put a book up on this giveaway, but now I've discovered the Amazon Prime and it got cheaper. I am very, very sorry, but I can't ship to outside the whole American continent.
