Percy Jackson, Valentine's Day & Monday!

Today's Monday and I don't have any bookish thing to share with you. Neither a review! Really, I am not in the mood to pick a book up to review... I mean, books I have read a long (a few months) time ago. You might have realized that I like to write about the things that happen to me daily... Oh, the idea of getting a diary just sprung up in mind. Don't you think I should do that? I've tried twice, but it didn't work.

So... On Saturday (February 13rd), I went to see Percy Jackson & The Olympians - The Lightning Thief. I've commented on some people's blogs about it. The movie's funny... I may say it did entertained me, but there are things that get us - Percy Jackson series fans - upset because of the adaptation. Awful. I missed important characters from the book, like Sr. D, Clarisse and Ares. And since the beginning, we already suspect who's Percy's father. I don't like it. I like the mystery, although I knew who was it when I started reading the book. Sadly. There are many, many things I'd compare, but I'll keep my mouth shut. I only forgot it: Grover was the best part of the movie, besides Kevin McKidd (Poseidon), OF COURSE. For those who watch Grey's Anatomy, you know what I am talking about. If you don't... Pay attetion on McArmy AKA Dr. Owen Hunt.

And... Yesterday (February 21st), I went to see Valentine's Day. I don't have much to say about this one, because it's pretty light, you know? It's like a superficial movie. I mean, it didn't add much in my life, personally. I think I went to see this because of the stars of the movie and not exactly because of the "script" itself... It was good, though. I enjoyed it, I laughed, I felt sorry for some people, etc. I loved Ashton Kutcher in this film. Such a cute character! Jennifer Garner, the little boy and Emma Roberts were also great! I didn't really like Taylor Swift as an actress. I'm sorry Taylor, but it'd be better if you stopped by this one and only sing. Taylor Lautner was weird, but good. He acts well. And I appreciate Tay-Tay as a couple. I only think Lautner's too big, like... Too strong. He looks weird.

Finally, I'd like to say things I say everytime I write a non-bookish post. I am sorry for the lack of posting. I know I am being lazy and not taking care of this blog, but I PROMISE I'll try to keep it updated and keep commenting on other blogs. I've thinking about doing IMM once a month. Better, isn't it? Hope you don't mind.

Hm. Ok. I gotta go. I will come back to post things about the book I'm reading: The Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan. OH! My copy of The Battle of the Labirynth arrived today! Gorgeous cover! *happy dancing* Waiting for other two books to arrive. Bye!

  2. I'm still not sure on whether I want to see Percy Jackson or not. I'm glad to hear it was entertaining though. I kind of want to see Valentine's Day, but at the same time I don't because of certain actors.
