Contacting Authors

I've been finding out that contact the authors we like is awesome. The authors now they're like my new idols. The first idol-author I contacted was Tess Gerritsen, the most amazing one. I was visiting her website and found out that she sends bookmarks to her fans. You only have to send her a email asking for it and then she will ask your mail address to send you the AUTOGRAPHED bookmarks. They're always beautiful. I've already asked two times - the first time was for me, the second time was to give to my friend for her birthday. I think she loved it! The second one I contacted - not for bookmarks or anything - was Lauren Oliver, the author of Before I Fall. Since I made this blog this is the book I am most antecipating to read. And I've told her that! She's such a sweet person. She is even following my blog now! Oh God, thank YOU, Lauren!

By the way, you know any author that sends you swag/bookmarks if you ask for?

I am kind of thinking about have author interviews on my blog when it's possible. What do you think? I am going to plan the questions and all. I hope to do that soon. Like I said, I am going to write new reviews as soon as possible!

  1. That's great! I'm still too shy to contact authors. I follow a few of their blogs and leave comments, but that's it. I've also gotten some comments from a few authors so that's pretty cool.
I'd love to read your author interviews.

  2. I have found that authors I have contacted have always replied to the email really soon. Graciously accepted author interview requests and even sent thank you mails after the interviews were published. Will watch out for ur author interviews. I guess most send book plates or swags if you request them :)

  3. I'm still quite frightened of talking to authors. I don't know why. I mean, it's the internet, for goodness sakes. It should be no problem! I still have to get over that. It sounds easy, but I'd need advice. Lol.

I would love to read your author interviews! I hate thinking up of questions...I always hit a wall whenever I start! Bleh. But I'd have to do it...someday.
