Teaser Tuesday (3)

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB from Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just grab your current read, open to a random page, choose at least two (2) "teaser" sentences from somewhere in the page and share them.

BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure what you share doesn't give too much away! You don't want to ruin the book for others!)

Also, share the title and author, too, so other participants can add the book to their TBR lists if they like your teasers.

"Sometimes people are beautiful.
Not in looks.
Not in what they say.
Just in what they are."
From I Am The Messenger by Markus Zusak.

Teaser Tuesday (2)

From City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments #1) by Cassandra Clare, page 320 (paperback):

"Because I see the way you look at him!" he shouted. "And I never looked at any of those girls like that! It was something to do, a way to practice, until—"

This sentence is from the scene that most made me sad. Really. I felt so sorry for Simon! Oops! Can I say his name? I'm loving this book! So awesome, so original...

Teaser Tuesday & Poll

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB from Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just grab your current read, open to a random page, choose at least two (2) "teaser" sentences from somewhere in the page and share them.

BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure what you share doesn't give too much away! You don't want to ruin the book for others!)

Also, share the title and author, too, so other participants can add the book to their TBR lists if they like your teasers!

From City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments #1) by Cassandra Clare, page 236 (paperback):

Jace muttered something to Alec, who let go. Detaching himself, he came over to Clary. "Are you all right?" he asked in a low voice.
"I think so. I don't feel any different..."

My very first poll is now available for my visitors to vote on the books I should read/buy first, since I'm so undecided to choose my birthday - which is in March - gift. I'd like to ask for it be many, many books, but I don't know yet how much my precious daddy will allow me to spend on books. I have to select the best to read. As you guys must have read most of the books I'm willing to, I thought you could help to choose at least five. I'd appreciate it so much if you all voted. The poll is on the right sidebar.
