Minha Estante de Livros | My Bookshelf

It's been a big while since I posted pictures and a video showing my bookshelf. Since I started blogging, the amount of books has increased incredibly. I do not even have enough space for my books, and I have already told daddy and mommy that I need a new bookshelf where I can put my beautiful babies on. Take a look at the photographs below and see how much bigger is my collection now thanks to the blogosphere!

A few are lent, others I forgot to put there. But, see... Isn't it the most beautiful thing ever?
Alguns estão emprestados, outros esqueci de colocar na estante. Mas, veja... Não é a coisa mais linda? Hehe.

My Bookshelf (May, 2010)

I'm not so used to vlogs or anything like that. I'm such a shy person and I'm kinda afraid of cameras that film. Nonetheless, I was like dying to film something and post it here. So here I'm posting something to you. No, I didn't film myself. No, I didn't talk too much. So, don't expect much from me this time. I promise I'll appear more in the next videos. I'm even analyzing the idea of "vlogging" on In My Mailbox posts. For now, only analyzing. Well, I hope you enjoy this first.

Taking a look on: My Bookshelf

I've been seeing a lot of bloggers posting photos and talking about their bookshelves, how they organize it, etc. So, I felt like posting mine as well. Not that I have a beautiful and big bookshelf, I think it's only the beginning for me. But, I hope to have a beautiful and big library in my own home in the future.

Well... I lent my friends some books and I am also still waiting for eight or nine books to arrive, so there are like fourteen books missing in the pictures below. I can't wait!

In order, there are: 1808, The Lost Symbol, (5) Stephenie Meyer's books, I Am The Messenger, Vampire Academy (the Brazilian version), Blue Moon, Frostbite, Hush Hush, City of Bones, Whisper, Percy Jackson series (the 3rd is lent), all the Tess Gerritsen's books already published in Brazil (except Gravity) + The Mephisto Club, I Heart You You Haunt Me, The Boy In The Stripped Pajamas, The Diary of A Young Girl, Sherlock Holmes (Barnes & Nobles), Heist Society, Sophie's World, Peter Pan, The Mediator: Shadowland, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series (the first is missing and I don't have the fourth), When In Rome.

Those on the top are the ones resquested by school.

Here, in the left, are the ones which I am currently reading (or at least which I am trying to do simultaneously). I am loving City of Ashes and Before I Fall so far! <3>

Bookshelf, Bookmarks and Cookies!

I feel like posting way too much these past two days. I also feel like posting some pictures of what has happened these days.

BOOKSHELF: I've seen a few people posting about their bookshelves. So I thought, "I don't have so many books like them, but why don't I try to post about mine?", and took a picture of my bookshelf. I mean, until yesterday I kept my books on one part of my bedroom's bookshelf, but now that the guests' room is pratically empty and they took off some things that were used to be there, I put MY books there - in the guests' room's bookshelf - along with the big school books - that would break my bedroom's bookshelf, because of their weight. They are not too many. I'm just beginning my book collection. There are, like, 26 books - including I Am The Messenger, that was not pictured. I even have 5 books that friends borrowed from me and 1 that my daddy is reading, so there are at least 32 books.

BOOKS IN ORDER: Twilight series (Brazil), The Book Thief (Brazil), Evermore (Brazil), Blue Moon, Vampire Academy (Brazil), Frostbite, Hush Hush, Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief (Brazil), City of Bones, 1808 (Brazil), The Second Summer of the Sisterhood (Brazil), Girls In Pants (Brazil), The Apprentice (Brazil), The Mephisto Club, Dexter (Brazil), Peter Pan (Brazil), Dom Casmurro (Brazil), The Memory Keeper's Daughter (Brazil), For Better For Worse (Brazil), The Complete Sherlock Holmes (Barnes & Noble Classics).

BOOKS THAT AREN'T ON THE BOOKSHELF: The Lost Symbol (Brazil), When In Rome... (Brazil), The Mediator: Shadowland (Brazil), The Surgeon (Brazil), Angels and Demons (Brazil), The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (Brazil).

BOOKMARKS: I have told you that I received, yesterday, a few signed bookmarks from the admired author Tess Gerritsen. For this, I have emailed her and asked for the bookmarks, like they tell us to do in her website. These bookmarks promote the seventh book of the Jane Rizzoli and Maura Isles series, THE KEEPSAKE. Also, they have the list of Gerritsen's book in the back, which is amazing! You all should check her website and give her books a try if you like the synopsis and stuff. I'm very thankful for the bookmarks! My very first ever. I'm feeling fulfilled by my own blog. It has brought me many accomplishments. Thank you all either.

They're awesome, aren't they!?
This one in the middle has my name on it!
I almost couldn't believe it when I saw!
Thank you again, Tess.

COOKIES: The last and most delicious thing I had to share with you! I made cookies this afternoon (in Brazil it's already afternoon if you're wondering anything about it), with a new recipe. And they taste wonderfully! I can't send you them, but I can at least bring you all a picture. Don't they seem delicious? Well... They ARE. It's like a cookie made of brownie, but there is no peanut or chestnut.

In case you wanna try to do the cookies...

RECIPE: 180 grams of Bittersweet Chocolate (chopped into large pieces), 180 grams of White Chocolate (chopped into small pieces), 1 Cups Sugar, 100 grams of unsalted butter (room temperature), 2 eggs, 1 tablespoons vanilla, 1 ½ cups flour, ½ teaspoon of salt.

1. Preheat oven to 180 º C.
2. In processor bowl, put the 180 grams of bittersweet chocolate chopped into large pieces with the sugar. Process for 2 minutes or until chocolate is so fine as sugar. Stop the processor and add the butter, eggs and vanilla and MIX them until it is creamy.
3. Add the flour, salt and 180 grams of white chocolate chopped into small pieces. Mix until the flour disappears into the batter.
4. Use a small spoon to make balls of dough in the pan. Bake it for 15 minutes. Remove them from the oven. Let them cool about 10 minutes and with a spatula lift cookies and put them in a grid to let them cool completely.

Hope you all enjoyed this post, which I gladly did!
Just because I'm in the mood and happy today!
